While all finishes can be used indoors, it is the goal to eventually reformulate all the finishes to achieve an outdoor rating. Until then, be careful to select outdoor-rated finishes for your exterior placements. Many of the finishes are already outdoor-rated. Of course, any finish used outdoors will tend to lighten or darken somewhat over time. We intentionally don’t include moss inhibitors in out paint formulations. Moss on garden pieces outdoors can be an unexpected delight. A periodic light misting of a liquid fertilizer like Peters or Miracle-Gro during the growing season will encourage moss growth. Spraying the bottom third only will achieve the most natural effect.
