| FREIZE: An architectural ornament consisting of a narrow piece of decoration along a wall, either inside a room or on the outside of a building just under the roof
PEDIMENT: Originally, in classical architecture, the triangular space forming the gable of a simple roof; hence, a similar form used as a decoration over porticoes, doors, windows, etc.; also, a rounded or broken frontal having a similar position and use.
VALANCE: An ornamental drapery, decorative board, or metal strip mounted especially across the top of a window to conceal structural fixtures.
