Finish Information & Color Disclaimer

Please note: Due to differences in computer screens and lighting conditions, color samples may appear different on your screen than in person. Natural light, artificial light, and surrounding finishes can all affect how a color is perceived. Because each piece is handcrafted and finishes are hand-applied, slight variations in color are normal. We recommend ordering a premium finish without viewing a physical sample only if you are comfortable with these natural variations.

Drapery Rod Finishes

All drapery rods, brackets, and rings are available in a scratch-resistant, baked-on matte finish in either black or brown. For a custom touch, you may also choose from our hand-applied Special Finishes for an additional charge. If you’re uncertain about which finish will best coordinate with your decor, we encourage you to [order Amore finish samples] to view in your home. The cost of the samples will be refunded upon their return.

Basic Finishes
Our Basic Finishes—matte brown and matte black—are solid colors applied in an environmentally responsible, high-tech facility. Each piece undergoes thorough cleaning and preparation before receiving a durable, baked-on powder coat finish. These finishes offer exceptional resistance to scratches and abrasions, making them an excellent choice for rods and rings.

Special Finishes
Our Special Finishes are designed to enhance the natural beauty of the metal while complementing your fabrics, trims, wall colors, floors, and fixtures. Each finish is a hand-applied, multi-layered blend of paint colors, created to order to ensure consistency throughout your purchase—similar to fabric dye lots or wallpaper runs. Because these finishes are hand-painted, subtle variations are a natural part of their character.

For drapery hardware, the basic matte finish serves as a base coat for our special finishes. Please note that only the solid black and brown finishes are baked-on; all special finishes should be handled with care. Of the special finish options, Antique Brown and Olde Black are the most durable, as they are applied over the baked-on powder-coated base.
