| This wonderful collection of architectural friezes makes a perfect hardware complement to drapery, cornice, shade and bath design. A frieze is a decorative design which repeats in pattern and has been used in art and design to create many famous works. Available in all of our hand-painted, special finishes to blend with the latest fabric and room interiors, these timeless patterns are custom sized to any length to fit the project's requirements.
Choose from a wide variety of mounting options for the frieze only, or order the frieze with an integrated track system to create a unique decorative drapery rod or roman shade. (See - Bellagio Drapery Traverse Systems)
Pricing is in whole feet, and any fraction of a foot is priced as a whole foot. Due to the unique patterns, each style has a unique repeat and so we suggest providing the preferred size, the minimum size and the maximum size of the desired length so that we can fit the pattern to give the best appearance, as some variation in sizes can occur. All special finishes are available for all styles, and all finishes are the same price.
When ordering the decorative castings please specify one of the following methods for mounting. Prices are the same for al1 mounting options and are based on the number of whole feet, with any fraction of a foot counted as a whole foot.
Returns may be requested for any pattern, and add one foot for each return to determine the total cost. Please provide the size of the return measured from the back wall to the inside face of the design.
Due to pattern repeats unique to each design, to insure the best overall appearance, please provide the preferred size, the minimum size and the maximum size for your measurements.
"A" Adjustable - The adjustable projection mount option allows the frieze to project 4-1/2" to
7" from the wall. The frieze has a 4-1/8" flat mounting stem welded to the bottom of the design on the backside. The stem then bolts to an "L" bracket to the wal1. Each frieze will have a single mounting stem and bracket for lengths 12" or less. For widths up to 42", two stems and brackets are included. Then, for every additional 24" or 36" length, an additional stem and bracket is included, and will be centered and/or spaced to be equal distance apart. With our adjustable projection, a frieze becomes a decorative metal cornice over other soft or hard window treatments. Or the mounting brackets for the frieze may be used to support fabric swags. Should exact bracket placement be required, please fax a diagram with the order. There is $30 setup fee for specifying the exact placement of brackets, and a $20 fabrication and materials fee for each extra bracket above our standard.
"B" Bolt Mount - A 1-1/4" bolt is welded to the back of the design, enabling the design to be bolted to the face of a cornice. This type of mount requires a hole to be drilled through the cornice for the bolt to be inserted. Then the included washer and nut are threaded onto the bolt from the back of the cornice to securely mount the design to the cornice. This type of mount is best used at the workroom where the cornice is fabricated.
"F" Flush Mount - A flush mount option is used to hang the design like a plaque or wall or over a doorway, or on the face of a fabric upholstered cornice for a decorative element. A keyhole style bracket is welded to the back of the frieze every 30" to 48" to allow the mounting screws to be hidden behind the frieze. Unless specified otherwise, the keyhole will be welded such that the frieze will hang with the design "upside" down from that pictured in the catalogue. This type of mount makes it easier to remove the design from a cornice and to apply the design outside of the workroom.
"R" Rear Mount - Using the rear mount option, the design may hang from the bottom of a cornice. A small mounting tab is welded to the back of the frieze along the top edge, allowing the frieze to hang from a cornice board, and be attached with wood screws to the back of the cornice board. This system is also used for adding the frieze as a decorative insert to a cut-out in the cornice.
Please fax a drawing of the application so the brackets can be properly positioned for the cut-out orientation required. Without any request, the tabs will be welded to the flat edge of the design on one side only.
"T" Top Mount - The top mount option allows the design to be positioned out in front of board mount swags or cornices, or to be mounted to the top of the cornice board. The frieze will have a 4-1/8" long stem welded to the backside of the design and each stem has two mounting holes for attaching to the dust top of the cornice or board mounted swag.
"N" No Mount - A no mount option is the frieze without any added brackets. This option is used where some other mounting will be used.
