Pressed Tin
was used to create decorative and functional ceilings in homes and commercial buildings from 1880's-1920's. It was a fast, beautiful and permanent way to avoid the painstaking application of plaster. The shortage of metal during WWII and the development of sheetrock curbed its use considerably. We work with salvagers to reclaim ceiling tin and other materials in a way that leaves them usable, while maintaining their original appeal. We hope you will enjoy the old paint, diversity and uniqueness of each of our products. While we can't promise uniform paint color or tin pattern, we can assure one-of-a-kind handmade product.
Our Wood
comes from just about any part of a building you can imagine - ceilings, walls, siding, floors, front porch railings, etc. The history is in the paint. That is why we use wood with authentic original paint. In order to find old wood that is usable and beautiful it takes a lot of scavenging on our part. And, it takes and appreciation for the past and its splendor on your part.
