Tidal Feast Octopus Wall Art

An underwater reverie brought to life in swirling blues and hand-cut steel. With curling arms that seem to dance mid-current, this octopus clasps a shimmering fish in its embrace, a reminder of the ocean’s playful mysteries. Each piece is artisan-crafted in Haiti from recycled oil drums, making it as one-of-a-kind as the sea itself.

There’s a certain poetry to the ocean: the sway of its currents, the stories tucked within its depths. The Tidal Feast Octopus Wall Art captures that wonder, unfurling in vibrant hues of teal and turquoise. Hand-chiseled from reclaimed steel oil drums by Haitian artisans, this sculpture carries forward a tradition of craftsmanship that began in the late 1950s and continues to ripple across generations.

Measuring approximately 17" x 16.5" x 0.5", the octopus’ tentacles spiral outward in graceful arcs, holding a silvery fish in a scene that feels both whimsical and eternal. Designed for indoor walls or shaded garden nooks, each piece bears subtle variations that honor the handmade process, ensuring your sculpture is as individual as a tide pool treasure.

The Tidal Feast Octopus Wall Art invites you to dream a little deeper when curating your space. Indoors, it becomes a conversation piece above a woven entryway bench, where baskets brimming with throws echo its handmade charm. In a dining room, pair it with driftwood candlesticks and linen table runners for a coastal tableau that feels both refined and effortless.

Outdoors, let it anchor a shaded patio wall, framed by lush ferns or trailing ivy that mimic the ocean’s sway. For a more eclectic touch, cluster it with other marine-inspired accents - seashell mirrors, glass lanterns, or hand-thrown ceramics - to create a gallery wall that feels like it was gathered over sunlit travels.

Whether it’s lending whimsy to a modern loft or layering character into a garden hideaway, this octopus brings with it the spirit of the sea: playful, mysterious, and endlessly captivating.

Designs are chalked out on a flattened steel oil drum and then cut out by hand with a mallet and chisel. Unpainted pieces are made to be used inside or outside. Outside they will eventually begin to turn a beautiful patina. Should you prefer the original finish, you can spray it with a clear gloss varnish every 18-24 months. We recommend Krylon Crystal Clear spray - it will also remove scratches. This can be found in any art store or hardware store.

Painted pieces should be used indoors only.
