        If your counter tops are made of a heavy material, such as granite or marble, then corbels and brackets are essential for support. Iron brackets and corbels offer elegance and style, as well as support. This selection of iron corbels is specifically designed for counter-top overhangs and comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, and finishes. Whether they are placed for support or design or both these architectural elements are sure to add interest and beauty to any room.

        Counter-top support guidelines - as specified by the Marble Institute of America:
        • The cantilevered portion of marble should never be more than 1/3 the width of the counter top.
        • 3/4" thick counter tops that cantilever over 6" require corbelled support.
        • 1-1/4" thick counter tops that cantilever over 10" require corbelled support.
        • The length of span between corbelled supports should not exceed 2' for 3/4" thick marble overhangs and 3' for 1-1/4" thick overhangs
