Charlotte Drop-Leaf Table

First used in England this type of tables were designed for small houses to be folded up to save space - With a fixed section in the center and a hinged section on either side that can be folded down. If the leaf is supported by a bracket when folded up, the table is a drop-leaf table; if the leaf is supported by legs that swing out from the center, it is known as a gateleg table. Made of old pine, this space saving piece looks as if it is an heirloom handed down through family generations. At 72" long, it has ample room for family gatherings.
