    Diamond Tunnel Arbor

At 33 inches deep, this is a tunnel more than a threshold - long enough that walking through takes a beat rather than a single step. Overhead, angular struts meet at ball joints to form a faceted, almost crystalline dome, catching light differently from every angle as the sun moves. Diamond lattice sides give the whole structure a repeating rhythm rather than one arch, and a wide flowerbed at the base is already doing its part with roses and hydrangea. Ground stakes are included; setup takes a ladder and a screwdriver.

Most arbors give you one arch to walk through. The Diamond Tunnel Arbor gives you a passage - 33 inches deep, with diamond lattice running down both sides and a faceted, ball-jointed dome overhead that reads more like architecture than garden ironwork. The angular struts catch light differently depending on where the sun sits, throwing a shifting diamond pattern across the ground beneath it.

Set against a hillside view with roses and hydrangea planted at the base, it holds its own against a big landscape rather than needing a tight garden bed to feel proportional. Built from wrought iron and finished in a graphite powder coat, it comes with ground stakes, side supports, and expanding lattice sections; assembly calls for a ladder and a screwdriver, nothing more specialized than that. Left to itself, wisteria or climbing roses will eventually soften those angular lines from the inside out.

Its extra depth changes what it's good for - a few ideas:

    • Set it over a stepping-stone path rather than a single threshold, so the walk through genuinely takes a few steps rather than one.
    • Underplant with roses and hydrangea at the base, the way it's staged, and let the dome stay the star while the flowers fill in below.
    • Position it on a slope or hillside where the view carries through the tunnel - the depth makes it a frame for scenery, not just a gateway.
    • Let wisteria climb both lattice sides so the ceiling of the tunnel eventually fills in with cascading blooms overhead.
    • Use it to mark the transition from a manicured lawn into a more naturalistic planting area, letting the geometry contrast with looser growth.
    • Light it from within after dark - the faceted dome throws a more interesting shadow pattern than a plain rounded arch would.
