    Vineyard Bottle Trellis

Six elongated, leaf-shaped slots run down this frame, each one sized to cradle a glass bottle upside down, neck to the rod, so afternoon light passes straight through green or amber glass like stained glass caught mid-swing. Small circle cutouts scattered between the leaves keep the whole thing from feeling too literal. Bottles aren't included - that part's up to whatever's been emptied on the porch lately. Black powder-coated wrought iron, sized for a fence line or a spot beside the grill, it turns recycling into a garden feature.

The Vineyard Bottle Trellis borrows from the Southern bottle-tree tradition and gives it a flat, architectural frame: six elongated, leaf-shaped openings run down the iron panel, each one sized to hold a glass bottle upside down so sunlight passes straight through the glass rather than around it. Small circular cutouts scattered between the leaf shapes keep the pattern from reading too literally botanical, closer to abstract than realistic.

Bottles aren't included, which is really the point - a rotating cast of wine, beer, or specialty glass in whatever colors are on hand at the moment, secured in place with rods and stoppers so wind doesn't rattle them loose. Finished in black powder coat over wrought iron, it holds up outdoors year-round whether it's dressed with a full set of bottles or left bare and covered in a climbing vine instead. Wide enough to stand alone by an outdoor kitchen or grouped in a row as a garden screen.

Its whole design depends on what you fill it with - a few directions:

    • Fill it with cobalt blue and green bottles saved from dinner parties, and let it catch late-afternoon light like a piece of garden stained glass.
    • Set it beside an outdoor kitchen or grill station, where it doubles as a functional conversation piece for anyone waiting on dinner.
    • Skip the bottles for a season and let clematis or morning glory climb the leaf-shaped openings instead, treating it as a plain trellis.
    • Group two or three along a fence line for an informal garden screen, mixing bottle colors from panel to panel.
    • Give it as a housewarming gift alongside a bottle of wine, letting the giftee start their own collection one empty at a time.
    • Use it to mark the entrance to a vegetable garden or vineyard-style planting bed, tying the wine-country theme to what's actually growing.

Inspired by the traditional European ironwork of the past, these unique hand crafted pieces are destined to become the heirlooms of your future.
